April 12, 2024
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

This service will start at 7:30 pm, not our usual time.

Rabbi Mills will be on vacation on Friday, April 12. Congregation Beth Jacob will be joining with Temple Chayai Shalom in Easton for their Hippie Shabbat which is hybrid.  Please consider coming in person to the congregation located at 239 Depot Street in South Easton.  Or you can join via U-tube.    The instructions for remote participation are at:

For Hippie Shabbat, the traditional Shabbat evening service will be enhanced with mash-ups of songs from the 1960s like “Light My Fire” by The Doors, “Happy Together” by The Turtles, “Feelin’ Groovy” by Simon and Garfunkel, “Mr. Tambourine Man” by Bob Dylan, “With a Little Help From My Friends” by The Beatles and many more. The music will be played and sung by Cantorial Soloist David Rothberg with help from Rabbi Kenneth Carr and several talented congregants.

Attendees are encouraged to wear hippie garb, like tie-dye clothing, denim, headbands, long-haired wigs, peace buttons and other era-reflecting outfits that will help us enjoy this fun and spiritual nostalgia trip.

Congregation Beth Jacob’s Yarzheit list and Misheberach list will be read by Rabbi Ken Carr as part of their service that evening.

Please join us in person, or enjoy the streaming event on YouTube.  There is a Zoom link for smoozing before and after the service, but the service will be only be on YouTube.  The YouTube link for the service broadcast will be active starting at 7:25 pm.  Links and instructions are at
