SUMMARY:Simchat Torah and Shabbat - in Temple and Zoom
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our Simchat Torah service which will feature
  unrolling a Torah scroll from start to finish. It will follow our Yizkor 
 service which starts at 6:15.&nbsp\;\n\nAll are welcome to attend our serv
 ice in person at CBJ or online by Zoom.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nImmediately f
 ollowing Sukkot\, we observe Sh'mini Atzeret and Simchat Torah\, a fun-fil
 led day during which we celebrate the completion of the annual reading of 
 the Torah and affirm Torah as\none of the pillars on which we build our li
 ves. As part of the celebration\, the Torah scrolls are taken from the ark
  and carried or danced around the synagogue seven times.\n\nWhen we unroll
  the torah\, the concluding section of the fifth book of the Torah\, D’v
 arim (Deuteronomy)\, is read\, and immediately following\, the opening sec
 tion of\nGenesis\, or B'reishit\, is read. This practice represents the cy
 clical nature of the relationship between the Jewish people and the readin
