Linda Myer, our Cantorial Soloist
You can see more info here.
Our own Linda Myer is our part-time Cantorial Soloist. Funding was provided by the
Ray & Milly Russo Cultural Heritage and Arts Fund of CBJ.
Linda recently earned a Certificate in Jewish Sacred Music at Hebrew College in Newton, Mass. after a 5-year period of study.
She will co-lead Friday night services with Rabbi Silverman twice monthly.
One service will be our family-oriented Simcha Shabbat, usually the first Friday of each month, and the other will be a general service. These will be listed in the weekly update email.
Linda believes that the Shabbat service should catalyze a transformation within us.
In that hour, we can create space to open our hearts a bit, to let go of the tightness within,
to make room for deeper love and higher hope, to feel connected to each other and to a power greater than ourselves
- and music is the best vehicle for this transformation.
Come join us for Friday night services filled with song and ruach (spirit). Bring yourselves and get ready to make a joyful noise.

The Hineni program provides one-time or short-term services to congregants. To this end, a number of congregants have volunteered to provide rides, meals, and other similar assistance as needed and requested. For examples, rides to Temple for services, programs, and meetings as well as to appointments can be arranged. Meals will also be provided on a limited basis.
All congregant requests will be maintained in the strictest of confidentiality. Any requests for assistance should be directed to the program coordinator, Suzanne Goldberg or to Rabbi Silverman @ 508-746-1575. Volunteers are always welcomed and needed.
LIMUD TORAH / Torah Study Group
We continue our weekly study of the Torah and also look at how the ancient rabbis revealed themselves in the stories they told to supplement the Biblical narratives. While knowledge of Hebrew can be helpful, we study our texts in English. Please feel free to join us any week or each and every week. Our study sessions are on most Mondays from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m., at the Synagogue. Please check the Weekly Update to confirm meeting dates.
Also check the calendar for the Sisterhood Torah study which takes place twice a month at CBJ on Mondays at 11 am.
